Harrison Township Dry Hydrant Project – 2019

Harrison Twp Dry Hydrant Project (phase one) overview (2019).

A project to install a series of dry hydrants in Bluejacket and Bokengehelas Creeks in Harrison Township, Logan County, Ohio. The hydrants will be bridge-mounted on swivels, and stowed out of the water when not in use. Freezing surveys were conducted during a polar vortex event in January 2018 to ensure that the four sites for phase one of the planned project will be ice-free under extreme conditions.

Mad River Dry Hydrant Project – 2018

Analysis of impact of dry hydrant project prepared for Monroe Twp trustees (Dec 2017)

A project to install a series of dry hydrants in the Mad River in Logan County, Ohio. Hydrants will be of the swing-down, bridge-mount design pioneered by GBW Associates in Maryland. Installations planned for all bridges crossing the Mad River in Monroe and Liberty Townships, in the West Liberty Fire Department protection area.
