Water Shuttle Operations & Planning Resources
Water Tender Capability Worksheet
Developed for the Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association Water Supply Technical Advisory Committee (WSTAC). Enter the apparatus parameters as indicated, and this Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) worksheet will generate water shuttle contribution performance curves for your tender/tanker for round-trip shuttle distances of up to 25 miles. Create one for each apparatus in your area, and you will have a ready-made profile of expected performance for a pre-planned or on-the-fly water shuttle.

Water Shuttle Drill Planning Worksheet
This worksheet provides a checklist of apparatus, personnel and equipment necessary to support a typical, multi-department water shuttle training drill. If you are planning a water shuttle drill for the first time, or are adding new mutual aid partners, these checklists will help determine if you have all the things you need before the drill, so that you don’t spend valuable training time trying to sort things out on the day of the drill.
